In a shocking incident on Saturday, two Iranian Supreme Court judges were killed and another wounded in a shooting in Tehran. The judiciary's Mizan news website reported the attack, identifying the deceased as ayatollahs Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini.
The assailant, who also shot and injured a bodyguard, reportedly took his own life following the attack outside the Supreme Court building. Iranian media outlets confirmed the bodyguard's injuries. The motive behind the assassinations is currently unknown, although some opposition websites have linked Moghiseh to trials involving individuals they consider political prisoners.
