A twin-engine Piper PA-31 aircraft crashed onto a bustling intersection in Victoria, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon, splitting into two pieces and impacting three vehicles. The incident occurred around 3 p.m., according to the Victoria Police Department. The plane, confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to be carrying only the pilot, had departed from Victoria Regional Airport around 9:52 a.m. and had been airborne for approximately five hours before the crash. While authorities have not yet released details on the number of individuals involved or the extent of injuries, video footage captured by a witness, Tony Pynor, vividly depicts the wreckage of the bisected plane. Emergency responders were promptly dispatched to the scene. Both the Victoria Police Department and the FAA are actively investigating the cause of the crash.
