Billionaire George Soros' financial influence continues to shape the political landscape, with two organizations under his backing injecting substantial funds into the re-election campaigns of two Virginia prosecutors. Campaign finance disclosures reviewed by Fox News Digital indicate that these Soros-supported committees have contributed $350,000 to these prosecutors, whom he initially helped elect four years prior. They now face potential defeat by Democratic challengers in the upcoming June 20th primary.
Arlington County Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti has received significant financial support, with $31,425.20 coming from the Justice and Public Safety PAC and an additional $295,000 from Soros' Democracy PAC II, as of June 8th filings.

Similarly, Fairfax County Attorney Steve Descano has benefited from $26,500 in contributions from the Soros-funded group. This financial commitment follows a previous investment of over $1.2 million by the Justice & Public Safety PAC in the 2019 elections of both Dehghani-Tafti and Descano.
While further campaign finance details won't be available until after the June primary, Soros has a documented pattern of providing substantial last-minute donations to district attorney candidates.

Soros typically supports candidates who advocate for policies such as eliminating cash bail, promoting restorative justice initiatives, and avoiding charging minors as adults, reflecting his broader aim to reshape the criminal justice system. His influence extends to numerous progressive prosecutor candidates across the nation, including figures like Larry Krasner in Philadelphia, Kim Foxx in Chicago, Kim Gardner in St. Louis, and George Gascón in Los Angeles.
Recently, Soros announced the transition of control over his political network to his son, Alex Soros, marking a significant shift in the leadership of his influential organizations.
