While Emily Blunt has achieved considerable success in Hollywood, the renowned actress wouldn't encourage aspiring actors to follow in her footsteps. In a recent candid interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, the 40-year-old actress, whose career launched in the early 2000s, expressed her reservations about the industry.

Blunt admitted feeling uneasy when young people express their acting aspirations, stating, "It makes me cringe when people say, 'My daughter wants to be an actress.' I want to tell them, ‘Don’t do it!’ It's a challenging profession and can be incredibly disheartening." She emphasized the deeply personal nature of the industry, particularly the focus on physical appearance, adding, "Many advise against taking criticism personally, but it's inherently personal, especially when judgments are based on your looks. You simply have to weather that aspect."

The actress herself avoids social media, describing herself as "blissfully ignorant" of public opinion, both positive and negative. Blunt, married to fellow actor John Krasinski, is a mother of two daughters, Violet and Hazel. Whether their children will pursue acting remains unknown. Both parents are prominent figures in the industry, having recently co-starred in "A Quiet Place."

Prioritizing family time, Blunt has decided to take a hiatus from acting following a string of major projects, including "Oppenheimer," "The Fall Guy," and "Pain Hustlers." She expressed her desire to be present for her daughters' daily routines, explaining, "There are key moments in my daughters' days that I'm unwilling to miss—like waking them up, taking them to school, picking them up, and putting them to bed. I want to be able to say 'yes' to all of those things. It's a huge relief for me to be able to do that."

Blunt rarely leaves her children for extended periods, acknowledging the impact of her career on their lives. "Although they're resilient and accustomed to this unconventional lifestyle, it's still difficult for them when I'm away," she shared.

Blunt and Krasinski's love story began in 2008 with a chance encounter at a restaurant. Their whirlwind romance led to an engagement within a year and a picturesque wedding at George Clooney's Lake Como estate in 2010. Krasinski, during an appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show," fondly recalled their instant connection, saying, "It's one of those things where as soon as you meet someone, you just know."
