Morgan Wallen Pleads Guilty to Reckless Endangerment, Receives Probation

Country music artist Morgan Wallen has entered a conditional guilty plea to misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges stemming from an April incident where he threw a chair from a Nashville rooftop bar. The plea, entered in a Davidson County Circuit Court, allows for the charges to be dismissed and expunged upon successful completion of his probation.

Judge Cynthia Chappell sentenced Wallen to seven days at a DUI education center and two years of supervised probation. He is also required to pay a $350 fine along with court fees. The charges were reduced from felonies earlier in the legal proceedings.

Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, released a statement confirming the plea agreement and emphasizing Wallen's cooperation with authorities and apologies to those involved. The statement also highlighted Wallen's commitment to making a positive impact through his music and foundation. The incident occurred at Chief's bar in Nashville on April 7th. Initially, Wallen faced disorderly conduct and felony reckless endangerment charges. He was present in court on Tuesday alongside his lawyer.

Following the incident, Wallen completed his "One Night at a Time" tour, concluding in October. He recently addressed fans in a video, thanking them for their support and assuring them he's working on new music while taking some personal time. He expressed his anticipation to return to the stage in 2025.
