The New York Jets' postseason drought reached a disheartening 14 years following their loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, extending a streak of futility dating back to 2010. This era, marked by Rex Ryan's leadership, Darrelle Revis's defensive prowess, and Mark Sanchez at quarterback, feels like a distant memory.

Despite constructing the team around four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and several of his trusted colleagues, the Jets have struggled significantly this season. The loss to Miami dropped their record to a dismal 3-10, leaving them with a slim chance of finishing 7-10 even if they win their remaining games.
Rodgers responded curtly when questioned about the prolonged playoff absence, simply asking, "What's the question?" He acknowledged the disappointment, stating, "I've been here one year, started one year. I'm a part of it for one year. It's disappointing."

Rodgers managed 339 passing yards and a touchdown against Miami, his first 300+ yard game since December 2021. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich emphasized the need for the team to improve in crucial moments, stating, "We have to find a way to finish, give our best when our best is required. Not accomplishing that, I've got to look at myself first."

Wide receiver Davante Adams, a recent addition to the Jets, admitted the team is now "playing for pride." The team's struggles continue to raise questions about their future and the effectiveness of the changes made during the offseason.
