Former "Who's the Boss?" actor Danny Pintauro recently experienced a serious health scare following a scooter accident on Thanksgiving. Pintauro, known for his role as Jonathan Bower on the popular sitcom, shared his ordeal on Instagram, revealing that a seemingly minor accident led to emergency surgery.

In his post, Pintauro explained that while riding his scooter in a designated bike lane, he was suddenly confronted with an obstruction of traffic cones, forcing him to swerve to avoid a collision with a van. He chose to hit the cones, resulting in scrapes on his arm, which he initially believed to be minor injuries. However, the following day, he developed severe chest and stomach pains, ultimately leading him to seek medical attention.

At the hospital, tests revealed a tear in his stomach lining, a direct result of the scooter accident. This tear had caused an infection and allowed stomach acid to leak into his abdomen. Pintauro described the pain as the worst he had ever experienced. He underwent emergency surgery to repair the tear, a procedure that thankfully proved successful.

While recovering, Pintauro expressed gratitude for his husband's support and the care he received from the medical staff. He also acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, stating that delaying treatment could have had fatal consequences. He urged his followers to pay attention to their bodies and seek medical help when necessary.

Pintauro, who rose to fame on "Who's the Boss?" alongside Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano, has largely remained out of the public eye in recent years, focusing on other pursuits. He has occasionally taken on acting roles, appearing in projects such as "The Quarantine Bunch" and "A Country Christmas Harmony."
