Following a revealing interview where Trinity Rodman discussed her strained relationship with her father, NBA legend Dennis Rodman, the younger Rodman publicly dismissed her father's subsequent social media apology as a mere "joke."
During an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Trinity, a rising star on the U.S. women’s national soccer team, candidly shared details about her father's absence throughout her life, stating, "He’s not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else." This prompted a public response from Dennis Rodman on social media, where he claimed he'd been prevented from attending her games and that Trinity had been instructed to ignore his communication attempts. He expressed his enduring pride and desire for a relationship with his daughter.

Trinity, however, quickly rejected this apology via her Instagram story, labeling it a "joke" and expressing her desire to move past the situation. She further criticized her father during the podcast interview, describing him as an "extremely selfish human being" who prioritized the spotlight and cameras over his children's emotional well-being.

Trinity, who also plays for the Washington Spirit in the NWSL, revealed that her mother, Michelle Moyer (who divorced Rodman in 2012), worked to protect her and her brother, DJ Rodman, from their father's turbulent lifestyle. This latest exchange further highlights the complex and seemingly fractured relationship between the celebrated athlete and his daughter.
