A National Lacrosse League (NLL) investigation is underway following a post-game altercation involving Halifax Thunderbirds player Tyson Bell and fans after a match against the Colorado Mammoth. A video circulating online appears to show Bell in a physical confrontation with spectators, seemingly using his lacrosse stick during the incident. The NLL released a statement on December 22nd acknowledging the incident and promising an update after completing their investigation.

TMZ Sports reported that the video appears to depict Bell striking fans with his fist and swinging his stick at them. While fans reportedly directed verbal abuse towards the players as they exited the field, Bell's teammates intervened to de-escalate the situation. The Mammoth defeated the Thunderbirds in the game, with Colorado forward Will Malcolm scoring seven goals and totaling ten points. Bell did not score during the match. Further details regarding the incident remain limited. The Thunderbirds' next game is scheduled for December 28th against the Albany FireWolves at Scotiabank Centre.
