Billionaire investor and philanthropist George Soros and his son, Alex, have each contributed the maximum individual donation amount to President Biden's 2024 re-election campaign, according to recent filings. Both contributed $6,600 to the Biden campaign committee on June 30th, marking their first direct contributions to the president's re-election effort. While neither has donated to the Biden Victory Fund this cycle, which has significantly higher contribution limits, it is anticipated they will contribute as the election progresses.

This financial support follows a pattern of substantial political contributions from both George and Alex Soros during the 2020 election cycle. Records show that Alex Soros contributed over $720,000 to the Biden Victory Fund, while George Soros donated more than $500,000. Both also maximized their donations directly to Biden's campaign during that period. The recent contributions come just weeks after George Soros transferred control of his extensive Open Society Foundations network, which supports various left-leaning initiatives, to his son Alex.

Alex Soros has maintained close ties with the Biden administration, visiting the White House at least 20 times since Biden took office. He has also recently shared photos on social media with Vice President Kamala Harris.

A spokesperson for the Soros family did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the donations.
