In a harrowing incident on Monday night, a woman bravely fought off an attacker on the Seminole Wekiva Trail in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Around 9 p.m., while listening to a podcast, the woman was suddenly grabbed from behind by a man who had pulled down his pants. In a 911 call released by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, the victim described the man pulling her against him and thrusting against her.

The woman chased the assailant, but he escaped on a bicycle he had hidden under a nearby bench. Thankfully, she was not physically injured during the ordeal. The suspect is described as a young male, possibly between 16 and 20 years old, with shoulder-length dark curly hair. He was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt, dark basketball shorts, and dark shoes.

Local residents expressed concern over the incident, with one long-time resident telling FOX35 Orlando that such an event was unheard of in the area. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office has increased patrols along the trail and is actively pursuing leads in the case.

This attack echoes a similar incident on a Seminole County trail last year where a 22-year-old woman successfully defended herself against a 19-year-old male attacker who was later apprehended and charged.
