Following the death of Kansas City sports journalist Adan Manzano while on assignment at the Super Bowl in New Orleans, a Louisiana woman has been apprehended. Danette Colbert is accused of multiple instances of fraudulent credit card use belonging to Manzano throughout the city. Police have confirmed charges against Colbert related to property crimes, including theft and fraud. Her arrest record reportedly includes prior theft allegations and other suspected offenses. The investigation into this matter remains active.

Manzano, who was covering the Super Bowl for KGKC, Kansas City's Telemundo affiliate, and Tico Sports, was discovered deceased in his hotel room on Wednesday night, according to KGKC General Manager Steve Downing. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Both KGKC and Telemundo Kansas City issued statements expressing their sorrow and extending condolences to Manzano's family and friends. Telemundo highlighted Manzano's professionalism and emerging talent in their public statement, emphasizing his dedication to his work and contributions to the community.

Tragically, Manzano's wife, Ashleigh Boyd, passed away in a car accident in Kansas last year.
