In a shocking incident Wednesday morning, two firefighters were shot inside their fire station in Birmingham, Alabama. Authorities are investigating the possibility of a targeted attack, a deeply concerning development given the role firefighters play in community safety.
The shooting occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the Norwood neighborhood. Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond expressed his concern, stating that while the motive remains unclear, the targeted nature of the attack is highly unusual and disturbing.
