An investigation is underway following the discovery of a 64-year-old emergency medical technician found deceased within an ambulette in the Bronx. Authorities identified the victim as Peter Forrest, a resident of the borough and an employee of Marquis Ambulette.
Forrest was found unresponsive inside the vehicle, which was parked on a side street in the Castle Hill Park neighborhood near Barrett Avenue, around 10:30 a.m. on Monday. According to reports, he was discovered face down in a pool of blood. The ambulette appeared to have been abandoned at the location for a period of time.

First responders arrived at the scene after a 911 call. Forrest was pronounced dead at the location. Police reported that he had sustained trauma to his body, including injuries to his head and face. While the NYPD is investigating the case as a homicide, the official cause of death is pending determination by the medical examiner.

A Marquis Ambulette representative confirmed Forrest's employment with the company and stated that they are cooperating with the police investigation. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
