Having recently completed filming for "Dink" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," Stewart had a busy schedule in the months leading up to her passing. Her representative noted she had been feeling fatigued in December after undertaking numerous television projects. The discovery of a tumor further shocked her loved ones, who were described as being in disbelief.

Tributes poured in from friends and colleagues, including actress Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson, who shared a touching photo and heartfelt message on Instagram, remembering Stewart's kindness, sweetness, and humor. Peterson referred to Stewart as "the most beautiful woman in Puppetland," a nod to her iconic role as Miss Yvonne in "Pee-wee's Playhouse."

Born in Los Angeles in 1946, Stewart's career spanned decades, beginning with her debut in Jack Nicholson's 1971 film "Drive, He Said." She went on to contribute to various successful projects, including "The Running Man," "American Graffiti," and "Pee-wee's Big Adventure." Her collaboration with Paul Reubens began in the 1970s at the comedy troupe "Groundlings." She also worked on other "Pee-wee's Playhouse" projects, such as "Big Top Pee-wee."

Stewart's versatility extended to television, with appearances on "Laverne & Shirley" and voice acting for the animated series "Laverne & Shirley in the Army." More recently, she was recognized for her role as Bonnie, Charlie Kelly's mother, in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
