The iconic "Terminator" star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is embracing the holiday spirit, trading his action gear for a Santa Claus costume in his latest film, "The Man with the Bag." Spotted filming in New York City, Schwarzenegger looked the part in a festive red coat, complete with a white beard and hair.
Fan videos captured Schwarzenegger leaving his trailer in more casual attire – a white sweater – and playfully telling onlookers, "I have to go back to bed," before being escorted into a black SUV by security.
Produced by Amazon MGM studios, "The Man with the Bag" features Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus, whose magical bag is stolen. He then teams up with a thief, played by Alan Ritchson ("Reacher"), who finds himself on Santa's naughty list, to retrieve it.
Schwarzenegger shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram, posting a photo with Ritchson and expressing his enthusiasm for the project, the director, Adam Shankman, and the New York City setting.
This holiday action-comedy marks Schwarzenegger's first feature film since 2019's "Terminator: Dark Fate." While he recently took on the small screen with Netflix's "FUBAR," "The Man with the Bag" signifies his return to the big screen.
This isn't Schwarzenegger's first foray into holiday films. He starred in the 1996 classic "Jingle All the Way," playing a father determined to acquire the highly sought-after Turbo Man action figure for his son.
