The New York Rangers have secured defenseman K’Andre Miller for two more years with a $7.7 million contract extension. The deal, announced by General Manager Chris Drury, keeps the 23-year-old blue-liner in a Rangers jersey through the 2024-25 season.

Miller has been a consistent presence on the Rangers' blue line since his debut in the 2020-21 season. He reached career highs across the board in the 2022-23 season, notching nine goals and 34 assists for a total of 43 points. These figures placed him second among Rangers defensemen in all three offensive categories. Beyond offense, Miller contributed significantly to the penalty kill, logging nearly 150 minutes of shorthanded ice time.

Over his 214 NHL games, all played with the Rangers, the St. Paul native has amassed 21 goals and 54 assists, maintaining a plus-44 rating. Since entering the league, Miller has proven his defensive prowess, ranking seventh among NHL defensemen in takeaways with 153.
