Music magazine Billboard issued a public apology on Thanksgiving morning for including a controversial clip in a video celebrating Taylor Swift's career. The video, which compiled highlights of Swift's achievements, mistakenly featured a segment from Kanye West's 2016 music video "Famous." This video depicted a wax figure resembling a naked Taylor Swift in bed with West, alongside other celebrities. Billboard acknowledged the error, expressing deep regret for the harm caused to Swift and its audience. The offending clip has since been removed.

The incident sparked outrage on social media, with some users pointing out the explicit nature of the "Famous" video and labeling it as "revenge porn." West's song and video, released amidst a long-standing feud with Swift, also featured the controversial lyric, "I made that b---- famous." The two artists have had a strained relationship since 2009 when West interrupted Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Billboard's tribute video was posted on Instagram after the magazine named Swift the second-greatest pop star of the 21st century. The announcement of the top spot is expected next week. Many users demanded a public apology from Billboard before the magazine addressed the issue on its Instagram post. Swift's representatives have not yet commented on the incident.
