New details have emerged in the Philadelphia mass shooting case, revealing that one of the victims was killed almost two days prior to the July 4th attack. Officials now believe Kimbrady Carriker, the accused shooter, is responsible for the death of 31-year-old Joseph Wamah Jr. some 44 hours before the main incident.
Carriker was arraigned Wednesday on multiple charges, including five counts of murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. While initially believed to have been killed during the holiday shooting, authorities now say Wamah Jr.'s death occurred earlier, on July 2nd. An error in dispatching police to the correct location delayed the discovery of his body.

Carriker allegedly used a firearm in the attacks, and is facing charges related to carrying without a license. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner expressed his condolences to Wamah Jr.'s family and acknowledged the revised timeline of events.
Police responded to a report of gunfire on July 2nd, but were mistakenly directed to the wrong address. This delayed the discovery of Wamah Jr.'s body, leading to the initial confusion surrounding the timing of his death.

The other four victims of the July 4th shooting were all male, ranging in age from 15 to 59. Two young children and a woman also sustained injuries related to the event. This shooting was the most severe incident of gun violence nationwide during the Independence Day holiday.
