Actor Josh Brolin recently revealed a health challenge connected to his relocation to Montecito, California. During an appearance on Rob Lowe's podcast, "Literally! With Rob Lowe," Brolin disclosed that the stress of the move led to a "mild case" of Bell's Palsy. He expressed certainty about the stress-related cause, stating there was "nothing else to blame it on." This isn't Brolin's first experience with the condition; he shared that 17 years prior, contemplating a move to the same area triggered a similar episode. According to the Mayo Clinic, Bell's Palsy causes temporary facial muscle weakness, often resulting in a drooping appearance on one side of the face.

Brolin elaborated that both instances of Bell's Palsy coincided with thoughts of moving to Montecito. He's now finding that positive memories associated with the area are surfacing, tempering some of the earlier anxieties he held. Brolin, who resides in California with his wife, Kathryn Boyd, and their two daughters, also touched on his childhood memories, admitting to a tendency, as a storyteller, to sometimes amplify the drama of past experiences.

This health revelation follows Brolin's playful threat to quit acting after "Dune: Part Two" director Denis Villeneuve was overlooked for an Oscar nomination. Brolin, who starred in both "Dune" films, had publicly stated his intention to leave the profession if Villeneuve's work wasn't acknowledged by the Academy. In a subsequent Instagram story, Brolin congratulated the "Dune" team on their nominations in other categories, including Best Picture, while humorously reiterating his mock-threat due to Villeneuve's omission.
