Former "Home Improvement" star Zachery Ty Bryan was taken into custody on Thursday for domestic violence, marking another legal issue for the actor. Horry County (South Carolina) Sheriff's Office records indicate he remained in jail as of Friday. Bryan faces a second-degree domestic violence charge.
This isn't Bryan's first encounter with law enforcement regarding domestic violence. In July 2023, he was arrested in Eugene, Oregon, following a physical altercation with a woman. Initially facing two counts of fourth-degree assault, one charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement. He served a short jail sentence instead of a significantly longer term.
Bryan's past also includes DUI arrests. In October 2024, he was arrested in Oklahoma after being found asleep in his vehicle. He declined a sobriety test and later apologized to the officer, admitting his fondness for alcohol. Months prior, in California, he faced charges related to a DUI and a misdemeanor charge for contempt of court.
