According to a police statement, officers responded to reports of an assault around 7:45 a.m. and discovered a victim with a neck wound. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. Witnesses assisted officers in locating the suspect nearby, who was reportedly armed with a knife. One officer attempted to subdue the suspect with a less-lethal device, while another officer fired their weapon. The suspect was listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
