Created: JANUARY 27, 2025

Following his departure from Congress, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has co-founded a new public affairs firm, Watchtower Strategy, alongside five other prominent figures: Jeff Miller, Dan Conston, Arthur Schwartz, Cliff Sims, and Brian Walsh.

The firm's website describes Watchtower Strategy as a "premier public affairs firm" specializing in strategy, advocacy, and crisis communications. A press release further elaborates that the group will offer strategic advisory services to CEOs and senior executives, helping them navigate complex issues at the intersection of business, government, and public relations. They will also focus on developing and executing issue advocacy campaigns aimed at shaping public discourse and influencing policy outcomes.

McCarthy, serving as chairman of Watchtower Strategy, also holds positions on the advisory board of C3 AI, an enterprise AI software company, and the board of directors of Anivive Lifesciences, a pet pharmaceutical company.

McCarthy's political career included a tumultuous period as House Speaker in 2023, marked by a record 15 rounds of voting to secure the gavel, followed by his eventual removal from the speakership and subsequent resignation from Congress.

He recently attended former President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony.
