Hooters of America is reportedly working with creditors to manage a $300 million debt through a potential Chapter 11 filing. While plans are not finalized, the company is reportedly preparing for this possibility with legal counsel. The restaurant chain has already closed numerous locations across the country amidst declining business, though none appear to be in Booker's home state of Arizona.

This financial struggle comes after the company issued a significant amount of asset-backed bonds in 2021. As Hooters navigates these challenges, Booker continues to focus on his own battles on the court, striving to improve the Suns' standing in the Western Conference. Despite a talented roster, the Suns currently hold a 27-29 record, placing them outside of playoff contention. In his tenth season with the team, Booker maintains impressive averages of 26.0 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.0 rebounds.
