Retired patrol commander Sergeant Matthew Fagiana, with over 25 years of law enforcement experience, spoke to Fox News Digital about these security concerns.

Fagiana emphasized the unpredictable nature of lone wolf actors, driven by extremist ideologies, and the challenges they pose to security personnel. He referenced a recent incident where a man with a machete attempted to breach security near former President Carter as an example of this heightened threat. Fagiana assured that individuals who have made credible threats are being monitored and their whereabouts are known to law enforcement.

He detailed the extensive security presence expected, including Secret Service, Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police, and state troopers from neighboring states. Fagiana also outlined key indicators that law enforcement looks for when assessing potential threats:
