With President Donald Trump anticipated at Super Bowl LIX, security measures are expected to be extraordinary. Adam Gonzales, CEO of Hyperion Services and a former military specialist, offers insights into what attendees can expect.
Gonzales, who led a six-man surveillance team in the military and later worked in private security protecting high-profile individuals, has firsthand experience with presidential security, having been present at the Army-Navy game attended by Trump in December.

He describes how the stadium was locked down for hours surrounding Trump's arrival at that event, impacting the experience for regular spectators. "You’re really going to have to give yourself a lot of time," Gonzales advises, "because the Secret Service will have that place locked down. It’s going to be a fortress."
Gonzales observed a significant increase in security at the 2024 Army-Navy game, likely due to past threats against the former president. He anticipates similar heightened measures at the Super Bowl, particularly in light of a recent terror incident in New Orleans.

While acknowledging the heightened security needs, Gonzales commends the swift response of New Orleans police to the recent incident, suggesting that their actions may have deterred further threats. He believes the Superdome might be one of the safest places to be on Sunday night, given the combined presence of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, and private security details.

The convergence of these security forces, along with private security for high-profile attendees, creates a multi-layered security approach that aims to ensure the safety of everyone at the Super Bowl.
