WNBA player Natasha Cloud's recent tweet labeling America as "trash" has ignited a heated discussion, drawing criticism from various figures, including NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom. Cloud's tweet, posted in the wake of the Supreme Court's affirmative action ruling, expressed her frustration with the ongoing oppression of marginalized groups. She stated, "Our country is trash in so many ways...we continue to oppress marginalized groups."

Cloud also criticized the politicization and weaponization of religion in a series of subsequent tweets. Freedom responded by suggesting Cloud should speak with Brittney Griner about her experiences in Russia, implying a lack of perspective on Cloud's part. He offered to take Cloud to countries with less freedom after the WNBA season concludes.

Fox News contributor Johnny "Joey" Jones also weighed in on Cloud's comments, appearing on "Fox & Friends First." He argued that Cloud lacked perspective and that many immigrants who come to America express great patriotism for the country. Jones, a Marine veteran, criticized Cloud as embodying "quintessential Gen Z" with numerous complaints but little to substantiate them. He emphasized that experiencing negativity is part of human existence in any society.

Fox & Friends hosts Rachel Campos-Duffy and Will Cain expressed sadness over Cloud's remarks, suggesting a lack of understanding about the U.S. compared to other nations. Duffy questioned Cloud's knowledge of American history and travel experiences, emphasizing the continuous influx of people seeking to immigrate to the United States.
