Three Good Samaritans bravely rescued a teenage swimmer at New York City's Coney Island Beach on Thursday, while the search continues for another missing teen. The New York City Police Department confirmed the incident, which occurred near West 22nd Street around 12:45 p.m. One of the rescued teens is conscious and alert.

One rescuer, John McLean, described hearing screams while reading a newspaper and immediately rushing into the water with another bystander. They successfully pulled one teen to safety but lost sight of the second while attempting another rescue. "We saved one, but I felt like I did half a job today," McLean lamented.
