After seven years of marriage, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have announced their separation. The couple released a joint statement to Page Six, requesting privacy as they navigate this new chapter. They emphasized their continued love and care for each other.
Vergara, 51, and Manganiello, 46, initially crossed paths at the 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner, though Vergara was attending with her then-fiancé, Nick Loeb. Manganiello later recounted being captivated by Vergara, sharing the story on SiriusXM's "The Jess Cagle Show" in 2020.

Following Vergara's split from Loeb, Manganiello, with the help of Vergara's "Modern Family" co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, connected with the actress. A whirlwind romance ensued, beginning with a date in New Orleans and culminating in marriage.

Just a week prior to the divorce announcement, Manganiello had publicly wished Vergara a happy birthday on Instagram. However, he was noticeably absent from Vergara's recent Italian vacation photos.
Manganiello has often spoken highly of Vergara, both in interviews and on social media. He's described their dynamic as being "opposites in all the best ways" and expressed his joy in making her laugh. Vergara, a highly successful actress and businesswoman, was named the highest-paid actress in the world by Forbes in 2020.
