Country music icon Randy Travis expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of his longtime stagehand, Thom Roberts, who was tragically shot and killed in Nashville. Roberts' wife, Christine Roberts, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide in connection with the incident.

Police were called to the couple's Howard Avenue residence on Monday evening. According to the arrest affidavit, Christine Roberts confessed to shooting her 68-year-old husband due to suspected infidelity. Roberts suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Christine Roberts is currently in custody with a bond set at $100,000.

Travis shared a heartfelt tribute to Roberts on his Facebook page, describing him as a "gentle giant" and "one of the very best stage lighting technicians in the business." He praised Roberts' skill and warm personality, emphasizing the profound impact he had on everyone he worked with.

Travis recounted their years of collaboration, highlighting Roberts' kind nature and ever-present smile. He expressed his deep affection for Roberts and the significant loss his passing represents for the entire band and crew. The musician acknowledged that their upcoming tour will feel different without Roberts' presence.
