Paul Wahlberg's Culinary Journey: From Family Dinners to Wahlburgers

Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

As the final episode of "Blue Bloods" aired, Paul Wahlberg, co-founder of Wahlburgers and older brother of "Blue Bloods" star Donnie Wahlberg, marked the occasion with a culinary creation. He reflected on the importance of family meals, both in the show and in his own life.

Wahlberg partnered with "Blue Bloods" to create dishes inspired by the show's famous Sunday dinners. These meals, featuring classics like roast beef, flank steak, and lasagna, resonated with Wahlberg's childhood memories of family gatherings. He recalled the anticipation not just for the meal itself, but also for the delicious leftovers.

For the "Blue Bloods" series finale, Wahlberg prepared a feast including stromboli, pizzas, pulled pork, sandwiches, chicken wings, and antipasto.

Wahlberg emphasized the significance of shared meals, especially in today's busy world. This philosophy is at the heart of Wahlburgers, the restaurant chain he co-owns with his brothers. The menu is inspired by their upbringing, offering a classic American burger experience. The most popular item, the Our Burger, features traditional toppings and a special "Wahl Sauce."

Beyond burgers, Wahlberg's favorite holiday meal is a traditional turkey dinner, complete with homemade gravy and cranberry sauce. While his cooking methods have evolved, he still cherishes the classic dishes his parents made. These days, he enjoys cooking for his children, adapting his meals to their preferences.

Wahlberg also appreciates the joy of sharing holiday traditions with others, comparing it to joining a special club. He finds fulfillment in connecting with family and friends through food.
