Following the unsealing of a 37-count federal indictment against former President Donald Trump, Special Counsel Jack Smith emphasized the serious nature of the alleged offenses, asserting that they jeopardized U.S. security. Smith urged the public to thoroughly review the indictment to grasp the extent and significance of the charges.

He stressed the crucial role of national security laws in safeguarding the nation, highlighting the dedication of intelligence and military personnel to this cause. Smith stated that breaches of these laws endanger the country and must be addressed.
