The $4 million prize for the win adds to Gooch's impressive earnings this year, totaling over $13 million across eight LIV events. The former Oklahoma State golfer's three victories set a new record within the league, surpassing Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson's two wins each.

DeChambeau, who began the final round with a one-shot advantage, saw his lead fluctuate throughout the day. Gooch leveled the playing field with birdies on the 10th and 13th holes, setting the stage for a dramatic finish. Both players birdied the 17th, but it was Gooch's decisive putt on the 18th that ultimately sealed his victory.

PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, starting three shots behind, mounted a challenge but a bogey on the 13th hole effectively ended his hopes. Gooch's final score of 12-under 201 cemented his place at the top of the leaderboard.

Gooch's prior victories include a three-shot win in Australia and a playoff triumph against Sergio Garcia in Singapore. After a month-long break from competition, having not qualified for the U.S. Open, Gooch is now set to compete in the British Open in a few weeks. The LIV Golf League's next event will be held near London, marking a return to where the series originated a year ago.

In the team competition, Torque GC, led by Joaquin Niemann and Sebastian Munoz, who both shot 68, secured a commanding victory.
