Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran recently addressed an incident where his impromptu street performance in Bengaluru, India, was interrupted by police. Sheeran clarified on his Instagram story that the busking session was pre-planned and authorized, directly contradicting the impression of a spontaneous, unpermitted performance. He assured fans that there were no hard feelings, concluding his message with "All good though. See ya at the show tonight x."

Sheeran even playfully suggested on social media that the officer who unplugged his microphone might be more of a Bruno Mars fan. The incident occurred on February 9th, prior to Sheeran's scheduled concerts at the NICE Grounds in Bengaluru as part of his Mathematics tour. Fan-recorded footage circulating online captured the moment the officer approached Sheeran's minimalist setup – just a guitar and microphone – and disconnected the sound, effectively ending the performance. Despite the interruption, Sheeran maintained a positive attitude, smiling and shrugging at the crowd before departing.
