Pratt described the situation as "truly devastating," emphasizing the impact on the community. He noted the "silver lining" of his own home being spared, but acknowledged the immense loss suffered by many others in the area. He specifically mentioned the destruction of his son's school and Faris's residence.

The Hughes Fire, which erupted in Castaic, has added to the devastation, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate. Firefighters continue to battle the blazes, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, which have caused significant damage and loss of life since January 7.
