On Thursday's episode of "The View," co-host Joy Behar expressed her sadness over President Biden's upcoming departure from the White House, stating, "I miss him already." She praised Biden as a "good person" who dedicated decades to serving the nation, contrasting him with incoming President Donald Trump, whom she accused of "scamming everybody" and trying to "stay out of jail." Behar confessed to feeling a sense of security during Biden's term, a feeling she now worries will disappear under Trump's leadership. "Every day I wake up and I worry, what is this guy going to do next?" she remarked.

Behar's comments followed Biden's farewell address on Wednesday, where he cautioned against the concentration of power in the hands of a small group of extremely wealthy individuals. Biden warned of the "dangerous consequences" if this "abuse of power" goes unchecked. His speech garnered significant praise from liberal media figures, with some describing it as one of his most impactful addresses.

A vocal critic of Trump and a staunch Biden supporter, Behar also criticized country music star Carrie Underwood for her decision to perform at Trump's inauguration. Behar questioned how Underwood could claim to love her country while supporting someone Behar believes is intent on harming it. While upholding the principle of free speech, Behar stated she would personally decline such an invitation.
