Social media influencer Alix Earle has teamed up with Carl's Jr. to bring back the fast-food chain's famous bikini-clad advertising for Super Bowl LIX. Eight years after shifting its advertising approach, Carl's Jr. has chosen Earle to promote their new "Hangover Burger" in a campaign reminiscent of past ads featuring celebrities like Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and Kate Upton.
Earle shared with Fox News Digital that filming the commercial at a Hollywood set resembling Wisteria Lane from "Desperate Housewives" was a "mind-blowing" experience. She views her commercial as a contemporary take on Carl's Jr.'s previous campaigns, emphasizing the brand's history of "fun, iconic commercials with iconic girls."

The advertisement portrays Earle navigating a neighborhood littered with post-party debris, a relatable scene for those experiencing the after-effects of the Super Bowl. She presents the Hangover Burger, complete with egg, double bacon, charbroiled beef, hash browns, cheese, and sauce, as the perfect remedy. Carl's Jr. will offer free Hangover Burgers on February 10th to reward program members using their app.

Carl's Jr. executives praised Earle for her "unapologetic, bold style," aligning with the brand's image. Kara Gasbarro, vice president of creative at CKE Restaurants, highlighted Earle's relatability and her open embrace of all aspects of life, making her a suitable partner. The campaign has generated positive reactions on YouTube, with many users expressing nostalgia for Carl's Jr.'s classic advertising style.

This campaign marks a return to Carl's Jr.'s previous advertising strategy after a 2017 announcement that they would move away from featuring models to focus on food quality and an all-American image.
