A 16-year-old from Buffalo, New York, has admitted his guilt in connection with a tragic high-speed crash that claimed the lives of four passengers. The incident occurred on October 24th when the stolen Kia Sportage he was driving collided with a concrete barrier on Route 33. The impact caused the vehicle to flip, ejecting several occupants through the sunroof. Four teenagers—a 14-year-old girl and three males aged 16, 17, and 19—were killed. Another 14-year-old girl survived the devastating wreck.
The driver entered a guilty plea to four counts of second-degree manslaughter, as well as charges of assault and possession of stolen property. He is expected to receive a sentence ranging from 15 months to four years in prison. At the time of the crash, Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia suggested the teens may have been engaging in a TikTok challenge involving stealing Kia vehicles using cell phone chargers.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for August. This tragic incident underscores the dangers of reckless driving and participating in potentially dangerous online challenges.
