President Biden is reportedly frustrated with Democratic lawmakers who have publicly opposed his decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden, before his December sentencing. According to a New York Times report, individuals close to the president describe him as "moody" as his term concludes, and he is specifically upset with Democrats criticizing the pardon.
Several Democrats have expressed disapproval of the pardon and the president's subsequent statement criticizing the justice system, especially given his prior assurances that he wouldn't pardon his son. The Times also notes that President Biden's interactions with the press have become limited, and his public statements are now more "targeted and restrained."

In a recent White House press briefing, President Biden addressed the recent drone sightings on the East Coast, stating that there was nothing suspicious about them. He issued Hunter Biden's pardon on December 1st, claiming he upheld his promise of not interfering with the Justice Department's decisions, despite witnessing what he perceived as a biased prosecution of his son.
Throughout his presidency, Biden emphasized his respect for the DOJ's investigation into his son. However, figures like Colorado Governor Jared Polis have expressed disappointment, arguing that the pardon prioritizes family over the nation and sets a negative precedent for future presidents.

Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) voiced her disagreement with the pardon in an early December interview, also calling for reforms to the pardon system. President Biden has not made any public statements regarding the pardon since his initial announcement.
