Tennis star Naomi Osaka revealed on social media that she and her partner, rapper Cordae, have ended their relationship after almost six years and a child together. This announcement comes just days before the commencement of the Australian Open.

Osaka emphasized that the split is amicable, stating there's "no bad blood" and describing Cordae as "a great person and an awesome dad." She expressed gratitude for their time together and the growth she experienced, highlighting her daughter as her "biggest blessing." Cordae has not publicly commented on the separation.

Osaka gave birth to their daughter in July 2023 and returned to professional tennis at the 2024 Australian Open after a 15-month break. The Australian Open holds significance for Osaka, as she secured victories there in 2019 and 2021, marking her last Grand Slam titles. She boasts a strong 24-6 record at the tournament but experienced a first-round exit last year and missed the 2023 event. While recently retiring from a match at the Auckland Classic due to injury, Osaka remains hopeful for a successful Australian Open run.

The Australian Open is set to begin on Sunday.
