McGregor's Halftime Appearance at Heat Game Draws Boos and a KO'd Mascot

Conor McGregor's appearance at Friday night's Miami Heat game was met with a less-than-enthusiastic reception. The 34-year-old fighter was present courtside to announce his TIDL Sport body spray as the team's official new sponsor. However, the Miami crowd responded with boos, perhaps foreshadowing the events to come.

During the halftime show, McGregor engaged in a staged boxing match with the Heat mascot, Burnie. Donning boxing gloves, Burnie approached the UFC star, only to be swiftly knocked to the floor by a powerful left hook from McGregor. The mascot was then dramatically escorted off the court by the Heat's entertainment crew.

The unfortunate incident coincided with a disappointing night for the Heat, who fell to the Denver Nuggets 108-95 in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Denver is now just one win away from securing their first franchise NBA championship title.

Ironically, should the Heat manage a comeback and win the series, they would become only the second team in Finals history, and the first in any playoff series since their current opponent's two such comebacks in 2020, to overcome a 3-1 deficit.
