The House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), has published a comprehensive 17,000+ page report summarizing its investigative work during this congressional session. The report highlights the subcommittee's efforts to safeguard Americans from censorship, protect free speech, and expose instances of federal government overreach.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Rep. Jordan emphasized the committee's commitment to holding the Biden-Harris administration accountable for its actions. He stated that the subcommittee's oversight has revealed numerous instances of government abuses, particularly concerning the First Amendment, the targeting of citizens by agencies like the IRS and DOJ, and the weaponization of federal law enforcement. The report details how these investigations have led to legislative and policy changes aimed at protecting American citizens.

The report argues that the current administration has exacerbated a two-tiered system of government, where political favoritism contrasts sharply with intimidation and unfair treatment of ordinary citizens. The subcommittee's mission, as outlined in the report, is to expose these abuses and empower Congress to address them effectively.
A key focus of the subcommittee's work has been the investigation of the so-called "censorship-industrial complex." The report details how federal agencies, including the White House, collaborated with private entities to censor online speech. The subcommittee asserts that its oversight has already had a tangible impact on protecting the First Amendment, citing a Supreme Court dissent that acknowledged the suppression of valuable speech revealed by the investigation. Furthermore, the report points to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's admission that the administration pressured the platform to censor content, as well as the closure of "disinformation" research programs by universities and other organizations in response to the subcommittee's findings.

The report also highlights the subcommittee's success in preventing the formation of GARM, an advertising association allegedly involved in censoring and boycotting conservative media outlets. The subcommittee's investigation revealed GARM's discussions about restricting advertising revenue to conservative platforms and its boycotts of conservative voices and Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter).
Another significant aspect of the subcommittee's work involves investigating the alleged misuse of federal law enforcement resources. Through interviews with whistleblowers, the subcommittee uncovered instances of waste, fraud, and abuse within the FBI, including retaliation against whistleblowers who came forward. The report also details the FBI's admission of error in revoking the security clearance of one employee and subsequent reinstatement of that clearance.

The subcommittee further investigated executive branch interference in constitutionally protected activities. The report describes how the subcommittee exposed and halted the FBI's targeting of Catholic Americans based on their religious beliefs, detailed the DOJ's directives to target parents at school board meetings, prevented unannounced IRS visits to taxpayers' homes, prompted the DOJ to revise its internal policies regarding subpoenas for legislative branch employees, and highlighted warrantless surveillance of Americans by federal law enforcement.

The report includes a record of the subcommittee's hearings, correspondence, subpoenas issued, and depositions conducted, including interviews with former FBI and CIA officials, a former prosecutor involved in the hush-money probe against President Trump, and officials from Facebook, Meta, and Google.
