FBI Document Alleges Joe and Hunter Biden 'Coerced' Burisma CEO into Multi-Million Dollar Payment

Created: JANUARY 24, 2025

A recently declassified FBI document has ignited controversy, alleging that President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, pressured Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky into paying them millions of dollars. This payment was purportedly made in exchange for their assistance in removing a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Burisma.

Senator Chuck Grassley, who released the document, stated his intention was to allow the public to access the information directly. The document, an FD-1023 form, details interviews with a confidential source considered highly credible by the FBI. This source outlines multiple interactions with Zlochevsky over several years, beginning in 2015, a period during which Hunter Biden held a position on Burisma's board.

The document reportedly reveals that Zlochevsky felt compelled to make the payments to the Bidens and possesses text messages and recordings supporting this claim. This disclosure adds another layer to the ongoing narrative surrounding Hunter Biden's involvement with Burisma and his father's role in the dismissal of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company at the time. While President Biden has confirmed his involvement in Shokin's removal, he maintains it was due to concerns about corruption and aligned with U.S. and international policy.

The FD-1023 form further details conversations regarding Burisma's interest in acquiring a U.S. oil and gas company and pursuing an IPO. It also includes Zlochevsky's alleged admission that Hunter Biden was hired to leverage his father's influence to protect the company. Further allegations within the document claim Zlochevsky expressed frustration at being 'pushed to pay' the Bidens and possessed evidence to support his claims of coercion.

The White House has dismissed the allegations, characterizing them as recycled and debunked claims driven by political motivations. The FBI has also expressed concerns about the release of the document, citing potential risks to confidential sources and ongoing investigations.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer believes the FBI record aligns with the committee's own investigation into the Biden family's business dealings, while Senator Grassley and Chairman Comer have pledged to continue their pursuit of transparency and accountability in this matter.
