Tranquill, instrumental in the Chiefs' 32-29 win with nine tackles, took to social media to express his sentiments. He praised the Bills' performance while firmly shutting down those blaming the referees. He further addressed comments from former NFL player Will Compton and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.

The veteran linebacker, who began his career with the Los Angeles Chargers before joining the Chiefs in 2023, played a crucial role in their Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers that season. Now a starter, Tranquill's consistent performance in the 2024 season, including 94 tackles, two sacks, two pass break-ups, and two fumble recoveries, contributed to the Chiefs' strong defensive record.

The Chiefs' defense, ranked fourth in points allowed and ninth in yards allowed, only yielded 30 or more points twice during the regular season, both resulting in losses against the Bills and Denver Broncos. Tranquill's 14 tackles in the postseason further underscore his impact.
