Created: JANUARY 20, 2025

Former President Donald Trump made history by attending Super Bowl LIX, becoming the first sitting president to do so. Before the game, in a pre-recorded interview, he predicted a Kansas City Chiefs victory. Upon arrival at the Caesars Superdome, he was seen interacting with Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones.

Earlier in the week, Jones discussed his emotional displays during the national anthem, explaining that he enters a "war" mindset before games, drawing parallels to the film "300."

Trump acknowledged the difficulty of choosing a winner given the talent on both teams but ultimately sided with Kansas City, citing quarterback Patrick Mahomes' experience and his wife Brittany's support for Trump. He also mentioned Brittany Mahomes as a "MAGA fan."

While Mahomes and teammate Travis Kelce expressed respect for the former president's presence, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts remained neutral.

Trump's prediction held historical weight, as a Chiefs victory would mark an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl win, a feat never before accomplished in the NFL. Their potential historic run began two years prior against the same Eagles team they faced in Super Bowl LIX.
