A police force in England has a new crime-fighting tool, and its name is generating quite a buzz. Thanks to a four-year-old Transformers enthusiast named Reuben, the force's new tractor has been christened "Optimus Crime."

Devon and Cornwall Police recently introduced the tractor at the Devon County Show. The vehicle is intended to bolster the department's rural engagement efforts. Reuben's winning entry beat out over 500 other suggestions in a naming competition held by the police.

This isn't the force's first foray into agriculturally-themed crime-fighting. Optimus Crime joins another tractor already in service, known as Robo Crop. According to Police Constable Clarke Orchard, children frequently inquired about the first tractor's name, which prompted the department to hold the naming competition for the new addition.

The name has been a hit on social media, with many commenters praising Reuben's creativity. However, not everyone is convinced of the tractor's practicality. Some have questioned its crime-fighting capabilities, pointing out the lack of traditional police equipment like blue lights and a place to hold prisoners.

Devon and Cornwall, located in the southwestern tip of England, is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches and picturesque countryside. The area's rural character likely contributes to the police force's need for tractors in their fleet.
