Illinois is offering free fishing from June 16th to 18th, eliminating the need for licenses or stamps. Various locations are also hosting special Father's Day events, like the Monee Reservoir Visitor Center, which is offering dads free bait, a small gift, and free fishing pole rentals.

Montana: License-Free Fishing for the Weekend

Ohio: Two Days of License-Free Fishing

South Dakota is celebrating Father's Day with free entry to state parks and license-free fishing on June 18th. The South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks will even provide free fishing poles and bait at Palisades State Park, while supplies last.

North Dakota: Father's Day Hike and Scavenger Hunt

For a different kind of outdoor adventure, Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in North Dakota is hosting a free Father's Day Hike and Scavenger Clue Hunt on June 18th. Participants who complete the hunt and return a gold coin to the park's commissary will receive a discount on beverages at the Coffee Bar.
