Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, known for his outspoken nature, recently shared some surprising dietary preferences during a radio interview on 105.3 The Fan. The conversation, which stemmed from Carolina Panthers rookie Xavier Legette's admission of having eaten raccoon, took an unexpected turn when Jones revealed his own experiences with the dish.

Jones stated he'd consumed raccoon both while hunting and prepared by his mother. He went on to express his fondness for squirrel as well, describing it as "wonderful" and recalling family discussions about preferred portions of the animal. He even admitted to enjoying squirrel brain, calling it "delicious."

Legette's initial mention of raccoon consumption on the "St. Brown Podcast" earlier this month appears to have prompted Jones's comments. The Cowboys owner seemingly echoed Legette's sentiments, stating that eating raccoon is "not uncommon at all."
