An 18-year-old Florida mother, Jazmin Paez, faces serious charges after allegedly attempting to solicit the murder of her 3-year-old son through a parody website designed to catch would-be criminals. Paez is accused of using rentahitman.com, a website created by Robert Innes for cybersecurity purposes, to request the killing of her child. She allegedly provided detailed information, including photos of her son and his location, asking for him to be “taken away” and “possibly killed.”

Jazmin Paez, 18, was arrested after she allegedly attempted to hire a hit man to kill her 3-year-old son on a parody website, according to police.

The website's owner, Robert Innes, alerted authorities after noticing the specificity of Paez's request, which included a false name and the code word “Put me in coach.” Innes stated that while the site receives numerous fake requests daily, Paez’s submission seemed alarmingly genuine due to her ability to provide verifiable details about her target. Despite initial difficulties convincing law enforcement of the threat's credibility, a detective eventually investigated. Posing as a hitman, police communicated with Paez, who allegedly agreed to a $3,000 payment for the murder.

Paez is now in custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, facing charges of soliciting murder and unlawful use of a communications device. Her bond is set at $15,000. The child is currently safe and under the care of relatives, with the Florida Department of Children and Families involved. This incident follows a pattern of arrests stemming from misuse of the parody website, including a recent case involving an Air National Guardsman and numerous individuals across New York.

Miami-Dade Police

This case highlights the unexpected role of parody websites in crime prevention and detection, as well as the importance of persistent reporting by individuals like Innes.
